FAQ's
What is included in a hunt?
A day’s hunt includes 1 night lodging in club house, 3 meals, a guided hunt, and transportation to and from the hunt.
We usually spend the afternoons in the hunting headquarters where we watch satellite and get ready for the next
days hunt. Bird processing is an option. The club house is located just minutes away and can be accessed any time.
How long have you been in business?
PHC has been in business since 1997. We started as an exclusive member’s only club. Through the years we have
grown in size due to hunting success. We are currently open to the public for a limited number of day hunts.
Do you hunt in the timber?
Yes, and its beautiful and I love it, if the ducks are there so are we!!!
How is your lodging facility?
Spacious, comfortable, and clean. We have room for twenty hunters, and meals catered by local restaurants.
Satellite TV, wireless internet and plenty of seating area, and be warned, we love college football.
Do you have seasonal leases?
Yes, we currently have hunting property in the middle and southern zones of Missouri, Southern Illinois, and
Southeast Arkansas. Property in Southeast Arkansas includes lodge and fishing access to several private stocked
ponds.
What size groups do you hunt?
We consider 4 hunters with guide the normal group. All hunting locations have room for additional hunters if
required. We feel your experience is lessened when forced to hunt with a large number of people. Parties with one
or two hunters may be placed with another small party to complete a group.
When would be the best time to hunt?
We day hunt Missouri’s southern zone. The southern zone opens Nov. 23, which is twenty days later than other
zones in Missouri. We usually have a refuge full of ducks at this point. As the season progresses we normally gain
migrating mallards and pintails and lose your smaller birds such as teal and gadwall.
How long do you hunt and do you hunt everyday?
Under normal circumstances we hunt until 1:00 PM. We have chosen to hunt a limited number of group’s everyday.
With 14 spots and 2 groups, each spot may only get hunted 1 day per week, which is extremely low hunting
pressure. Leaving at this time allows the birds to return to the area, & gives our staff time to prepare for the next day.
What license must I purchase before hunting?
Missouri residents age 16 -64, unless exempt and nonresidents age 16 and older, must have one of the
following Small game permits:
Missouri resident small game hunting permit…………………................$10
Missouri nonresident daily small game hunting permit………………….$11
Missouri nonresident small game hunting permit…………………….…..$75
All residents and nonresidents must have:
Missouri migratory bird hunting permit…………………………………….$6
This permit satisfies requirements for (HIP).
Federal migratory bird hunting and conservation stamp…………….....$15
Stamp must be signed in ink across the face.
Residents and nonresidents hunters age 15 and under are not required to purchase any permits to hunt ducks,
coots, or geese in Missouri. However, they must either be in the immediate presence of an adult who possess a
Missouri small game hunting permit, or have in their possession a valid Hunter Education Certificate Card while
hunting.
